40. John NANCE⁹ was born in 1796 in South Carolina. He died in Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia. He was buried in Old Swamp Creek Cemetery, Tilton County, Georgia. John NANCE and Sarah ADAMS were married in 1825.

41. Sarah ADAMS⁹ was born in 1810 in South Carolina. She was buried in Old Swamp Creek Cemetery, Tilton County, Georgia. Children were:

	i.	William T NANCE was born in 1832 in Pickens County, South Carolina. He died in 1887. Military: Nance, William T. private May 15, 1862. Pension records show he was discharged on account of chronic rheumatism February 23,1864.
	ii.	Letitia "Letty" NANCE was born in 1823 in South Carolina. She died in 1874.
	iii.	James Larkin NANCE was born on 5 Sep 1825 in South Carolina. He died on 19 Jan 1904. He was buried in Union Graveyard.
	iv.	Elizabeth NANCE was born in 1827. She died in 1901.
	v.	John NANCE was born in 1833 in Pickens County, South Carolina.
