1775.31 He appeared in the
census in 1810 in Knox County, Kentucky.31
p. 73 He appeared in the census in 1820 in Whitley County, Kentucky.31 p. 121 | | ii. | Juda "Judy" EATON31 was born about Oct 1770 in Virginia.31 She died on 15 Jun 1854 in Whitley County, Kentucky.31 From Penny Walters Towater:
Was she an Eaton, married first to a Sexton, or was she a Sexton, half-sister
to an Eaton???
The facts:
(1) Her marriage bond called her Juda SEXTON. She was abt. 24 years old when
she married James Rogers, a little on the old side for a first marriage. James
was even older, possibly married before.
(2) Judy and James lived around the Sextons and the Eatons in Whitley Co.
(3) Juda was a big Sexton name. She had a son named Prior, both a Sexton &
Eaton name.
(4) She was William Eaton's sister. (Full sister? half-sister? step-sister?)
If she was born October 1770, and William Eaton was 78 on July 7, 1849, they
may have even been TWINS. If that was so, she was definitely an Eaton, and she
married a Sexton before she married James Rogers.
From VITAL STATISTICS, WHITLEY CO., KY:
ROGERS, Juda - wid - 15 Jun 1854 - 83y, 8m - old age - born in VA.
