20. James Henry CARLISLE¹³ was born on 8 Aug 1861 in TX (or AR?). He died on 24 Jan 1896 in Texas.¹⁴ He was buried in Mt Peak, Ellis County, Texas.¹⁴ Peggy Newsom: I have not absolutely proven this is the James H that married Lexie. I plan to do more research at a later date. I did go ahead and make this placement due to the 1870 Census record that shows his family living directly next to Lexie's while they were still children. James Henry CARLISLE and Texana "Lexie" HOWETH were married on 1 Mar 1883 in Athens, Henderson County, Texas.
