28. Hilery Berry MUSE was born on 15 Jan 1848 in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas. He died on 1 Nov 1925 in Atoka County, Oklahoma. He was buried in Wardville, Atoka County, Oklahoma. Reference 1880 Montgomery County, Arkansas Census. 1900 Scott County, Arkansas Census. 1910 Le Fore County, Oklahoma Census, shows Hilery living in the household of his son Haywood, 1920 Atoka County, Oklahoma Census, shows him living in the houshold of his son Martin. After his son, Zeb died (Oct 1920) his father Hilery Berry Muse resided in the home of Zeb's widow to help support the family with his Civil War pension earned as a member of Union forces Co. H 4th Arkansas Cavalry based in Little Rock, Arkansas. His father, Stephen Muse was adjutant clerk in the same unit, Hilery was listed as taking care of the unit's horses (he was about 16 years old then).
