Eleventh Generation

1792. Thomas MUSE Sr was born about 1665 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He died in May 1732 in Washington Parish, Westmoreland County, Virginia. Thomas had eight children by former wife or wifes before marrying Elizabeth Sturman.

Thomas is named in his father's will (to receive one shilling), dated5 Apr 1723 and presented to court 25 Sep 1723.

From HOPKINS: On Oct. 30, 1707, Thomas Muse, of West'd Co., and JohnMuse, Jr., of Richmond Co., Va., were granted 265 acres in West'd Co.On Nov. 10, 1711, Nicholas Muse of West'd Co., received a grant ofland of 179 acres in West'd Co. on Holling Branch on GreatRappahannock Creek, between the counties of Richmond and West'd.(Northern Neck Grant Book No. 4, p. 60).

Note from HOPKINS: Thomas Muse left a will dated Mar. 12, 1729, pro.June 28, 1732 (W. B. 8, p. 532, West'd Co.). On July 26 1718 (V. 6,p. 318, West'd Co.,), John Muse, Jr., leased to Thomas Muse "part of200 acres of land which I leased of Col. William Fitzhugh for my lifeand my wife, Ann Muse's life, Jan. 17, 1712." On May 26, 1725 (V. 8,p. 118, West'd Co.), Thomas Muse made a deed of gift to sons Thomasand Christopher Muse "the 50 acres now in possession of my oldest son,John Muse, being the same land which I purchased of my brother, JohnMuse, dec'd July 28, 1718--subj. to the provisions contained in thelease from Col. Wm. Fitzhugh, dec'd, to my brother John Muse."

	iv.	Mary MUSE was born in 1703 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. She died after 1729.
	v.	John MUSE was born about 1698 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He died on 27 Nov 1770 in Westmoreland County, Virginia.

	vii.	Christopher MUSE was born about 1711 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He died on 29 Jun 1736.
	viii.	Thomas MUSE Jr was born about 1712 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He died on 26 Nov 1734 in Westmoreland County, Virginia.
